Born in Glasgow and growing up in East Kilbride, Lee Johnston graduated from the University of Stirling in 2013 with a law degree. As he focused in banking law, he works for a bank, while also focusing on his growing writing career. He lives in Edinburgh, a city he is very fond of, which is reflected throughout his books.

Lee started writing at a very young age, but his first book, North Sea Nightmare, was published in January 2017, followed by Bad Credit in March 2017.

He has always loved reading a mix of genres, especially horror, but his absolute favourite series is Dune by Frank Herbert.
